Getting Started

Requesting API Access

After signing in to the Unilever Developer Portal, you will need to register your application to generate your Client ID and Client Secret.

  1. From the Developer Portal homepage, click on the specific API that you wish to work with.
  2. Click on "Request API access", "New application".
  3. Fill in the form with details of your application and IP addresses to be whitelisted.
  4. Click Add.
  5. Now, select the Standard SLA Tier and review the Terms and Conditions.
  6. Click Request API Access again and your application will then be created.

Your Client ID and Client secret can be found by clicking on "My applications" from the Developer Portal homepage. These will be created once the approval workflow has been conducted inside Unilever.

SLA Tiers (Currently not in scope)

Please provide details of the SLA Tiers if these are setup. All Public APIs should be set up to use tiers.

When requesting access please select the appropriate tier:

  • Basic - will provide limited access to the API without the need for approval.
  • Premium - will provide unlimited access to the API, however, you will need to wait for approval
